Possessive pronouns are used to indicate ownership. For example, when somethings belong to someone.
Russian Possessive Pronouns are the following:
мой - my, mine
твой - your, yours (singular)
его - his
её - her, hers
наш - our, ours
ваш - your, yours (plural)
их - their, theirs
The main difference between English and Russian Possessive Pronouns is the fact that Russian ones decline and change their endings according to the case.

Note: endings of nouns in the Accusative case often depend on the animacy of the noun:
* Animate noun (a.n.) - living creature (humans, animals, etc)
* Inanimate noun (i.n.) - nonliving objects (table, house, etc)
